::FULLVIEW PLEASE:: Part one of Brianne's latest commission. It's her tres mystic and lovely original character Glyph from Sacred Kith. The illustration as a whole was inpired highly by a song she had listed as one of the character's inspirtational tunes - "The Mystic's Dream" by Loreena McKennitt.

"A clouded dream on an earthly night
Hangs upon the crescent moon
A voiceless song in an ageless light
Sings at the coming dawn
Birds in flight are calling there
Where the heart moves the stones
It's there that my heart is longing
All for the love of you"

It has a few issues here and there, but I'm really pleased with this over all, due to how inspired I was by the character while I drew it. :D

Glyph is copyright of *brianne333.

cheers,
Mel

You inconsiderate shithead.
This is wonderful Mel, I especially love all the detail that went into the bead work. I know that I have asked you recently to color a few of your peices, but this one calls out to me the most. Would you or Brianne mind If I colored this?

I am going to need a reference from one of you. I don't know which colors to use, and would rather stay true to the character than give it my OWN flair, I have looked all throughout her gallery and found no reference of this character. If you could get one (or a link) to me that would be most appreciated... E-mail, AIM or Yahoo are good... Thank you both.

Hey Andrew! I'd be more than happy to see you color this pic, I have no doubt you'll do an amazing job :D Glyphs page is over here at [link] and you can see her colors in the text description, as well as an example in the ref picture :) Thank you for offering to color it!!

Another job well done Mel, I could *not* be happier, and I think that really sums it up. As I said in my email to you, I do think that I'm beginining to feel a bit spoiled with you doing such nice work on my chars and being so absolutely true to them. It's always really nice to see another artist put forth that effort to get the character right and to picture them in a way that conveys the characters personality and appearance correctly. You definitely hit the nail on the head, and I adore it. Being that Glyph was inspired by my grandfather (who was a Cherokee) I have no doubt that he would have loved this picture, because you really added some gorgeous tribal elements, like the stylized moon with the feathers hanging down, or the owl. The composition on this one blows me away, it's really perfect, and beautifully done. I'm also really glad you chose to listen to the song, it fits her so well and I think you *got* it you know? If that makes sense. As usual, your pencilwork blows me away. You manage to do really beautiful, detailed, and super clean pencils and it never ceases to amaze me. I love all the little touches in this - the grain of the wood, all the tiny little beads, the patterns on the feathers, all of it. You did an excellent job on her woads too btw, I love the one on her eye. Her pose is so wonderful, I'm really pleased that you did that, it's possibly my favorite part. And I love her body, her nice strong looking legs, her mature and voluptuous body, her sweet face ^__^ She's just perfect. Oh and all the things you worked in too like the jewelry and the pouches and the fringe, it's fantastic. I truly adore this picture, this is no doubt one of my favs now, right up there with the Kai picture. Thank you so much for doing such an amazing job Mel!!
